What's the most practical thing to do to eliminate hard mineral sticking my kettle formed by a spring water?

Our water source is deepwell and we have spring water. Spring water accumulates white minerals or substance that sticks on the kettle as we boil it. What’s the best thing to do except scratching it with steel brush. The spout is almost covered by white substance and covers the holes which flows small water when I pour it. It’s hard to clean because I have to punch it with small pointed object to eliminate or lessen it. Have you any idea?

I need a whistle for an older Paul Revere tea kettle. Size of a quarter for older kettle. Any ideas?

The Paul Revere kettle I have is the large 2 quart plis size one. The original whistle that was in the spout lift, evidently fell out several years ago. It needs a new whistle to place back in the lift on the tea kettle. I have not been able to find out where to find such a whistle. Any Ideas?

How do I clean my new tea kettle?

I just bought a new tea kettle and Im one of those people who washes everything when I buy it. My tea kettle only has an opening on the spout, it doesnt open on the top.

Now my coffee maker says to run vinegar through it to clean it, should I do the same with the tea kettle? Boil the vinegar in it, then drain it, and boil water after?
